Edward S. Curtis - *50% OFF OPPORTUNITY* In the Mountains - Vintage Photogravure - Volume, 12.5 x 9.5 inches - The Teton Sioux or Lakota Indians would have been located as far West as Montana by the time Edward S. Curtis had the opportunity to photograph the tribe. This photogravure “In the Mountains" may have been taken in the Black Hills. The Sioux would live in portable tipi structures being a seminomadic people they needed to move to follow the buffalo. This camp look to be a winter camp and would be well insulated. <br> <br>This photo by Edward S. Curtis was taken in 1908 and printed on Japon Vellum.
