Long Fox - Assiniboin

Born in 1827 near Fort Berthold, North Dakota. He joined a war-party against the Mandan, capturing three horses. On another expedition against the same people he received an arrow wound. Subsequently, in an attack on the Assiniboin by the Sioux, he killed one, and in another fight with them he counted a first coup. The Assiniboin met a war-party of Piegan, and he captured one. Long Fox led against the Sioux a war-party that captured seven horses. He never had a vision. He married at thirty.
