Southern Arizona tribe Maricopa lived along the Salt River in Phoenix. The tribe was known to have made a large amount of pottery as seen here in this photogravure by Edward S. Curtis in which a young girl fetches water from a small stream.

This photogravure was taken in 1907 by Edward S. Curtis. The piece was printed on Dutch Van Gelder and is available for sale in out Aspen Art Gallery.
