Edward S. Curtis took this picture of a lone tipi style lodge in 1910. The lodge belongs to the Cheyenne tribe and is placed in the midst of a cottonwood grove. Edward S. Curtis took this picture along the Tongue River in Montana. The piece is a great example of the beautiful Cheyenne lodges built by Native Americans in that time. This image is printed on Japon Vellum and is available for sale in our Aspen Art Gallery.
