Edward S. Curtis took this picture of a lone tipi style lodge in 1910. The lodge belongs to the Cheyenne tribe and is placed in the midst of a cottonwood grove. Edward S. Curtis took this picture along the Tongue River in Montana. The piece is a great example of the beautiful Cheyenne lodges built by Native Americans in that time.
