1925
Size:

Vintage Photogravure

In this image by Edward S. Curtis a man in what looks like a modern day button down shirt stares directly at the camera. His face is androgynous and shows his age. His short hair is cropped right above his chin. The lighting which appears to come from above, seems to be reflecting through the leaves of a tree.

This piece is printed on Japanese Tissue, the finest paper that Edward Curtis used for his North American Indian project. Our Aspen Art Gallery houses this piece as well as many other vintage photogravures by Edward S. Curtis.
