Artist Statement:
Photography is the means by which my spirit permeates the image I record on film. Hopefully, the viewer will share some of my enthusiasm, excitement, amazement and curiosity, as well as in a vicarious sense, the atmospheric conditions when I make the photograph. The composition and lighting of the image, as well as the arrangement of the lighter and darker areas, help to reinforce those elements of the shade experience of the revelation. The grain of the film is an important part of the image as it helps to accentuate the dust, rain, snow and the atmospheric conditions when the photograph was made.
