Edward S. Edward Curtis included this photogravure as a reminder of the historical herds. <br> <br>Similar to the first image in Volume 1, “Vanishing Race – Navaho” he includes this critical element of an important North American Indian provision, the increasing size of buffalo herds after their near decimation.
